Tiles are constructed by two methods. The first method involves the extrusion of materials from natural clay or shale. Through the second technique, tiles are a constructed by utilizing the pressed dust method. Tile is rated on its ability to withstand water penetration and its resistance to abrasion. There are many different types of tile including ceramic, porcelain and quarry tile.
