Laminate Flooring
All laminate flooring is made essentially the same way. The top layer is cellulose paper impregnated with clear melamine resins, which protect the floor from stains, fading and wear. Below it is the design layer. A photo or patterned image is printed on paper and strengthened with resins. The bottom or backing layer is made of paper or melamine. Individual laminate pieces can be constructed to look like real wood or stone. However, there will be a repeat in patterns unlike a floor made of natural wood or stone. Laminate products come in either planks or square tiles.
