Stock’s Harley Davidson

Project Name: Stock’s Harley Davidson
Type of Project: Acoustical
Location: Manitowoc, WI
Date Completed: October 2007
Project Manager: Dale Palubicki

A unique challenge was set upon Project Manager Dale Palubicki for Stock’s Harley Davidson. Dale was asked to create a channel rail in the ceiling at a height of twenty-two feet for a “Bike Tram” system to be hidden by an acoustical ceiling in the 9,000 square foot showroom.

Dale worked closely with the owner, general contractor and Armstrong World Industries to create the system and visual everyone desired.

The design required installation of a complete 2’ x 2’ ceiling system one foot below the “Bike Tram”. Armstrong Axiom perimeter trim was utilized to create a clean reveal at the edge of the ceiling system. The Axiom provided the needed flexibility to mirror the curved portions on the bike tram.

In addition to the work in the showroom, VerHalen installed USG Black Frost 2’ x 2’ ceiling tile with chrome faced grid to create the “Harley look” in the customer lounge.
