The owners of Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design wanted to provide a comfortable, yet contemporary, educational, professional school and retail space while ensuring that both students and clients would feel welcomed.

Project manager Dale Palubicki worked closely with the building owner, architect and general contractor to ensure that the client’s needs were met. Dale made a recommendation to upgrade the specified tile to Armstrong’s Cirrus ceiling tile to create a softer look and utilize the high light reflectance of the tile to save on energy costs.

The architect consulted Dale on design options for the buildings focal point. Dale provided a solution utilizing Armstrong Formations set against a blue backdrop to create a scene of floating clouds. This solution not only provided Gill-Tech with a unique visual, but also offered an increase in acoustical performance. Finally, Dale installed a Kwik-Wall operable partition to provide the ability to divide one larger classroom into two smaller spaces.
