As is the challenge with most projects, VerHalen was faced with the task to achieve a certain level of aesthetics and appeal while remaining within a budget. To accomplish this goal, project manager, Mike Schott, worked closely with the design staff coordinating colors to effectively utilize the natural beauty of the wood ceiling to greet customer and clients as they walk through the door.

The use of Armstrong Cirrus ceiling tile and acoustical wall panels by Acoustic Solutions and Fabricmate Systems throughout the office provided the work place with a sense of comfort by reducing noise levels. The increase in acoustical performance did nothing to harm the aesthetics as the materials used created a clean and comfortable visual.

The project set a standard of excellence through the installation of its stained oak wood ceilings by 9 Wood. The 2’x2’ wood ceiling system in the entryway and conference room welcomes all clients and guests with warmth and creates a soothing atmosphere.

This project also achieved a LEED rating of Silver.
